Monarch Room

The Monarch Room, a Fresh Market American Brasserie concept helmed by restaurateurs Lisle Richards and Eric Marx of The Metric, is a vibrant collision of uptown polish and downtown tenacity. Located in an original 1930’s warehouse designed by Roman and Williams in the West Chelsea neighborhood known for its industrial past, The Monarch Room is the first endeavor by The Metric.

The menu, crafted by Executive Chef Michael Citarella, devotes itself to dishes that are created with the best local and seasonal ingredients. A chef with Michelin star training and a penchant for propelling those around him, Citarella upholds that the celebration of comradeship and culture, along with an appreciation for food cooked with care and attention to detail, should be at the forefront of any meal.

Both on and off the menu Richards, Marx and Citarella are committed to locally sourcing New York City, evident from the ingredients of the dishes to the design and aesthetics of the space.
